Husker Opener

Now that we are nearly 24 hours away from the football home opener, I have been curious as to where everyone goes to anticipate the Husker home games. There are over 284 retail establishments downtown, 88 restaurants and over 31 nightspots to choose from. I am interested to hear your responses.

I really like going out to the Isles Pizza in Havelock. It is a great local place that has wonderful pizza. The other plus is that it is not downtown…so you avoid all the traffic as well. I am usually there a little early if I am not handling deliveries that day. Of course this does not beat going to the game…there are always a few people looking to sell tickets downtown so it is never really sold out if you have the right amount of cash for one of these folks.

I think going downtown to the bars for husker games should be a tradition for everyone.

I tend to frequent Brothers before home games, but I also mix it up occasionally and walk around campus.
