Families are invited to witness a unique transformation as the Lincoln Children’s Museum becomes a ZooZeum on Saturday, February 18 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
ZooZeum Day is a partnership between the Lincoln Children’s Museum and a number of local organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to educating the community on the importance of humane treatment, habitat preservation, and the benefits of interacting with animals.
In tandem with the Museum’s always-engaging exhibits, each ZooZeum partner organization will be on-hand to offer special ZooZeum Day activities that provide children the chance to interact with animals while learning about the importance of caring for them and their habitats.

Giant, Luminescent puppets animate this classic tales of perseverance, personal transformation, acceptance and triumph. Love, heroism, and adventure abound in this fast-paced and witty adaptation of the timeless swashbuckling tale by Alexandre Dumas. Spectacular fight choreography will keep you on the edge of your seat as you follow the adventures of d’Artagnan, a young Frenchman who joins forces with the famous musketeers Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. These heroes, along with d’Artagnan’s sister Sabine, must bravely confront treacherous and vengeful villains to defend the honor of the Queen of France.
Show runs Feb. 23-25, 29 and March 1-3 at 7:30 pm in UNL’s Howell Theatre at 12th and R Streets. Tickets can be purchased online at unltheatretickets.com or by calling the Lied Center Ticket Office at 402-472-4747. Ticket prices are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 62+, and $10 for students with ID. A group rate of $5 each for groups of 10 or more is available through the Lied Center Ticket Office.

Morrill Hall rocks! See a spectacular display of rare minerals and meteorites in the museum’s Cooper Gallery in February. The exhibit will showcase Earth’s incredible diversity of minerals and meteorite treasures from the collections of the UNL Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, the Lincoln Gem and Mineral Club, as well as private donors. Regular museum admission charged.
