The 2012 Nebraska Shrine Bowl game will be played at Memorial Stadium on June 2nd, with a parade to kick off the day and a number of activities for players and fans alike! Check back for more information on gameday festivities as we get closer to kickoff of this year’s Shrine Bowl game.

Jazz in June has become more than just a tradition in Lincoln. It’s a summer standard. Organized by the Sheldon Art Association and Sheldon Museum of Art, the free Tuesday evening series is one of Lincoln’s sublime summer delights.
Enjoy the Jazz in June Market, starting at 5 p.m. at 12th & R Streets, and then stroll onto the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus to listen to great jazz, beginning at 7 p.m.
For the best seating locations on the plaza west of Sheldon Museum of Art, come early with a blanket or lawn chair for comfort. To insure the safety of all concerned, pets are not allowed at concerts.
June 5: TIZER Keyboardist Lao Tizer and his group TIZER open the 2012 Jazz in June series with their eclectic blend of jam-based world music, jazz, and contemporary fusion. TIZER, including Tizer, Jeff Kollman, Rufus Philpot, Raul Pineda, and Steve Nieves, last played the Sheldon series in 2008
June 12: Darryl White Group with guest artist Bobby Watson The Darryl White Group returns to Jazz in June with guest artist Bobby Watson to perform works ranging from standards by Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk to original compositions by members of the group.
June 19: UNL Faculty Jazz Ensemble with guest vocalist Jackie Allen The UNL Faculty Jazz Ensemble of Paul Haar, Eric Richards, Darryl White, Peter Bouffard, Tom Larson, Hans Sturm, and Chris Varga, along with guest vocalist Jackie Allen will fill the Sheldon sculpture garden with a blend of original songs and jazz standards on June 19th.
June 26: Will Donato The 2012 Jazz in June season concludes with the smooth jazz of saxophonist and composer Will Donato.
