A Novel Idea Bookstore owner Cinnamon Dokken is celebrating her “annual” 29th birthday sale this weekend from Thursday, February 10th through Sunday, February 13th at the Lincoln location on 14th street in between O and P.

The sale pokes fun at Dokken’s self-proclaimed “delusion” about her age and will feature all books discounted at 29% off.

The sale started when Dokken turned 25; they offered 25% off that year, increasing 1% each year until it finally plateaued once she turned 29.

The current 29th birthday sale has been celebrated for the past several years; however, Dokken would appreciate it if “you don’t make reference to just how long-standing a tradition it is! :).” Nonetheless, the event is a great time to celebrate the UNL grad’s brimming success with the bookstore
over the last 20 years.
