Celebrate Lincoln Seeks Festival Volunteers

On Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June 19th, Celebrate Lincoln will ignite your senses as the streets of Downtown Lincoln are transformed into an international vacation! Eat, shop, drink, play, enjoy and volunteer! During two fun-filled days, patrons can enjoy delicious food, colorful merchandise, refreshing ice cold beverages and international beer, kid-friendly activities, and a sizzling line-up of local and national entertainment. Celebrate Lincoln, presented by Lincoln Benefit Life and produced by Updowntowners, will take place from 12th - 14th streets on N Street. The event site will be jam-packed with exotic sounds, products and flavors, but we need your help in ensuring its success!

More than 500 volunteers are needed over the two days to welcome festival attendees at the gates, take admission, sell tickets, issue wristbands, serve alcohol and Pepsi products and supervise patrons on the inflatable games. Volunteers are guaranteed to have a great time, and as a thank you, will receive free admission to Celebrate Lincoln, a free beverage and an opportunity to enjoy the festival.

Large Groups are Welcome!!!! Large groups are encouraged to volunteer and wear their organization’s shirt to show their community spirit. The minimum age to volunteer is 16 for children’s activities, 19 and older for all other volunteer opportunities, except those dealing with alcohol where the volunteer must be 21 or older. Groups of 10 or more will be recognized on the Celebrate Lincoln website. Volunteering as a group is a great team-building exercise as you create lasting memories for those in our community.
