Lincoln Running Company Brings Runners Downtown

For years the Lincoln Running Company has been serving the greater Lincoln area by helping athletes find their perfect shoes.  But it isn’t all work for the store, a little running is also involved.  This year the Lincoln Running Company will host its 19th mile competition downtown as a part of the Lincoln Track Club races.

“This race is such a great event because participants encourage each other, they come early to watch all the heats and stick around after they are done running,” said Ann Ringlein.

The races will kickoff on July 11th at 8 AM with heats racing every 15 minutes.  The races will begin with the 50 plus age division, and the day will conclude with elite heats.  Last years oldest runner was Clarence Osborn who competed at 90 years young and Reagan Winter tipped the other end of the scale competing at age three.

Races will begin and end North of 12th and Q Street in Downtown Lincoln.  The event will also include a trivia contest, give-aways and food.
