Stores Below First Floors: Starlite Lounge

Starlite Lounge

Since 2003, Starlite Lounge has offered a nostalgic experience for anybody visiting the Historic Haymarket in downtown Lincoln.  The full-service cocktail bar, located below Buzzard Billy’s on 247 N. 8th Street, is one of two Starlight Lounges in existence.  The other location in La Crosse, Wisconsin is also located in a historic district and affiliated with Buzzard Billy’s.

Starlite Lounge offers a retro atmosphere that will make you feel like you are in the presence of Frank Sinatra and the famous Rat Pack. The Haymarket location brings a relaxing experience with plush couches, vintage swivel chairs and a “decked out” wait staff.  Starlite also offers various promotions and specials* and can also be used as an excellent banquet room for up to 70 people.

King Ringo-Bright, Manager of both Starlite Lounge and Buzzard Billy’s, came to Lincoln from Waco, Texas, home of the first Buzzard Billy’s.  Ringo-Bright has been waiting tables and working in the restaurant business since she was 16 years old, starting with Pizza Planet in Waco.  Ringo-Bright encourages anybody looking for wonderful appetizers, good drinks and a journey through the past to visit Starlite Lounge.  “Stop in after a long day at the office or for a weekend celebration.  You deserve the atmosphere and the company that Starlite Lounge has to offer.”

Starlite Lounge is open on Tuesday and Wednesday form 7 pm to 1 am and Thursday-Saturday 4 pm to 1 am.  For more information about Starlight Lounge visit www.buzzardbillys.com or call 475-8826.
