Parking Day 2016
On Sept. 16, University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Architecture students installed art pieces along P Street as part of Park(ing) Day.
Park(ing) Day began in San Francisco in 2005 and is now a global event intended for people to temporarily transform parking stalls into public spaces.
UNL students in small groups had two weeks to plan and create their installations using recycled and donated materials. Their resulting pieces were meant to promote environmental consciousness.
