Boys & Girls Club – Lincoln/Lancaster County / Director of Development and Marketing

What you’ll do!

Development and Marketing Leadership
•Plan, develop, and implement all marketing, communications, fundraising, and public relations materials to increase fundraising revenue and the visibility of the Club programs, services, and activities.
•Create messaging and write direct mail, e-campaigns, newsletters, and stewardship materials.
•Create and lead the overall development strategy for major events, individuals, grants, corporations, and foundations.
•Develop and implement social media, internet, and marketing/public relations strategies designed to build appreciation, understanding, and financial support of Club programs, services, and activities, and to increase participation by the community with the Club.
•In conjunction with the Executive Director and the Resource Development Committee Chair, engage leadership in fundraising and fostering a Culture of Philanthropy to grow private revenue. Serve as a trusted fundraising professional, educating donors about giving opportunities that would enable them to achieve their desired impact on the mission and beyond.
•Seek and develop innovative funding partnerships with businesses and organizations that further the philanthropic goals and initiatives of BGCL.
•Identify new major gift prospects to increase the number and size of funds and diversify revenue and donor base.
•Demonstrated experience in exceptional donor relations; thanking and communicating with donors’ positive outcomes achieved due to their support.
•Grant management and administration oversight; research grant opportunities, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals, outcomes, and deliverables to funders. Work with the Director of Programming and Club Operations on grant reporting.

Organizational Management
•Serve on the Leadership Team and participate in organizational planning, annual operating budget and development, and assessment activities.
•Set the standard for effective leadership by maintaining a high level of accountability, ethics, excellence, integrity, prudence, productivity, professionalism and respect.
•Strong organizational, writing, and public speaking skills.
•Communicate a positive image of BGCL that builds credibility, confidence, and trust with internal and external stakeholders.

Downtown Lincoln Association / Part-Time Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator

The Downtown Lincoln Association is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Graphic Designer and Social Media Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and producing engaging graphics, documents, and social media content to support various events, campaigns, and initiatives aimed at promoting Downtown Lincoln. We are looking for someone with a strong design aesthetic, excellent social media skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with current trends and topics.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design:

-Create eye-catching graphics, flyers, posters, brochures, and other promotional materials for downtown events, campaigns, and initiatives.
-Update existing documents and templates to ensure consistency and relevance.
-Work closely with the marketing team to develop concepts and ideas that effectively communicate key messages and branding guidelines.
-Ensure all designs are produced in a timely manner and meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Social Media Coordination:

-Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
-Create compelling content, including graphics, videos, and written copy, that aligns with the Downtown Lincoln Association's brand voice and objectives.
-Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to engage with our audience.
-Implement best practices for social media posting, scheduling, and analytics tracking to optimize performance and reach.

Content Creation and Curation:

-Generate creative ideas for social media posts, blog articles, and other digital content that highlight Downtown Lincoln's unique offerings, events, businesses, and attractions.
-Curate user-generated content and collaborate with local photographers, videographers, and influencers to showcase the downtown experience.
-Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across all platforms.
-Assist in updating Downtown Lincoln's website with current events, photos and other content.

Qualifications:

-Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
-Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and branding consistency.
-Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.

What You’ll Do!

Our Case Managers (position formally known as “Professional Partner”) serve a vital role to support consumers in our Family & Youth Investment program.

This position provides wraparound services to individuals under the age of 26, who are diagnosable with a mental illness (Serious Emotional Disturbances or SED) and residing in Region V Systems’ geographical area (southeast Nebraska). Persons served are at risk of being placed outside of the home, school, or community and are at risk for involvement in the juvenile justice and/or child welfare systems, which may include committing a criminal offense or behavioral health problems at school or home. The population served is primarily school-aged youth but also includes those individuals who are transitioning from the youth system to the adult system and who are at risk of entering, or have already entered, the adult emergency system.


You will use your problem-solving skills to work with your program participants (15 caseload maximum!) to develop a unique and creative plan to build on the natural support systems in their lives. In other words – you will help set the stage for success.

What You’ll Have!
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field. Extensive experience (3 or more years) in related human services field may be substituted for degree.
• This experience will soar you to the top of our list: 2 years’ experience working with persons with serious
emotional disturbances (SED) and/or 2 years’ experience in a behavioral health direct service position.
• Strong communication skills, effective facilitation of team meetings, authoring concise progress notes, and prioritizing multiple tasks are some of the skills you need.
• Ability to coordinate with external agencies that are also working with your program participants is crucial.

NAI FMA Realty is a locally owned commercial real estate firm established over 60 years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska. Our facility maintenance team is responsible for providing a variety of skilled maintenance services to over 4.3 million-square-feet of managed commercial and residential properties in Lincoln.

The position is full-time and the ideal candidate to join our Maintenance Team is reliable and customer focused. As part of the team, you will be responsible for upkeep of various facilities in our managed properties portfolio by performing general building maintenance and repairs on equipment.

Essential Functions:
• Able to assess and prioritize work while maintaining attention to details and time constraints, whether working independently or in a team environment
• Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, owners and tenants on repairs and issues
• Respond to maintenance service requests and repair needs for assigned buildings.
• Open assigned buildings and conduct maintenance inspections of all building areas to ensure public spaces are well lit, common areas are physically/structurally maintained
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and maintain documentation
• Performs grounds maintenance services to managed properties
• Maintain and repair equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, etc.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma, technical college education, Fourth-Class Engineer’s license or equivalent experience in the mechanical, structural, electrical, or plumbing areas
• 2+ years of related experience preferred
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license is required
• Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Able to move or lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and work with heights
• Experienced and able to use hand tools, power tools, power washer, lift equipment, ladders, etc.
• Pass a mandatory company drug test

DESCRIPTION: Under immediate to general supervision, the seasonal groundskeeper performs routine grounds maintenance duties including watering, mowing, and trimming grass; seeding; planting trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals; fertilizing; applying pesticides; weeding flower beds; trimming trees and shrubs; may perform routine building and equipment maintenance and manual labor tasks. Incumbents work individually, as a member of a work crew, or while assisting supervisory staff or skilled maintenance technicians; perform related work as required.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (The following is a list of possible duties this position may be assigned. Additional duties may be added to this list if the need arises.)

Mowing, string trimming, edging and aerating in turf areas.

Assist crew leader in applying fertilizer and/or herbicides to turf areas

Assist crew leader and/or irrigation technician in the installation and repair of irrigation systems

Remove dead plant material, weeds and other debris from sidewalks and planting beds

Apply mulch to planting beds

Assist in planting trees, shrubs, perennials and annual plants

Assist in tree and shrub pruning.

Loads, unloads and moves furniture, equipment, materials and supplies.

Operates machinery, equipment and tools in the performance of duties

Assist in maintaining all equipment, tools and machinery in working order.

Performs routine building maintenance to include, cleaning; and minor  painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.

Prepares reports and keeps records of time worked, materials used and equipment maintenance.

Must drive assigned vehicles in a safe, courteous and legal fashion. All work will be done in an efficient manner to keep vehicle mileage to a minimum. The vehicle is not to be operated outside our boundaries without the Maintenance Director’s consent. The vehicle will be safety checked and fluids monitored daily.
