New origami picture book features Holmes Park and Holmes Lake

"The Day We Went to the Park", a rhyming picture book by Christina Manno and Lincoln paper artist Linda Stephen, will be published in February by Handerson Publishing. The illustrations feature Holmes Lake Park crafted from more than 1,000 origami paper sculptures.

Book signing is Friday Feb. 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Francie & Finch Bookshop, 130 S. 13th St., with Linda's original art origami landscapes on exhibit Feb. 1-28. Contact Linda at 402-483-0747 or Francie & Finch at 402-781-0459.
