Here is the story. 10 years ago my sister Melissa and I released a concept album called “Sincerely, Dorothy.” Remember that? We recorded the album with our friend Travis Bossard who was fantastic to work with and played a bunch of instruments on the project. Our friend Evan Todd drew portraits in the hand sewn album booklet. We actually printed physical CDs that you can insert in your car CD player and now function poorly as coasters. In January of 2014 we played the album with a live band alongside a play that put the songs and stories to life. The play was called “Sincerely, Dorothy” and we packed the Haymarket Theatre three times. And we laughed backstage because none of us were professionals and all of us were having the time of our lives. 10 years ago. So this October, with the help of as many of the original band as can make it, we are recreating the music of that concept album. We will be playing the songs start to finish. There will be throw back merch to buy. We’ve got a few new songs to play as well. So journey with us to a made up world with real people. For some of you it will be a throwback. For some of you it will be the first time. We can’t wait to tell Dorothy and Noland and Gad and Evie and Tom and Anna’s story with you all again.
