Join us for our May Free Community Craft Day! We will be using hand-carved wooden blocks (traditionally for fabric printing) to stamp greeting cards!
This month we will be celebrating our talented artisan partners at Aravali in Jaipur, India, that specialize in block printing. Their craftsmen and women hand carve blocks of wood into intricate stamps that they use to apply dye to cotton fabric. We have gotten a hold of a few blocks from the artisans and will be using them to create beautiful Mother's Day cards!
Craft station will be open:
- Friday 5/12: 10am - 6pm
- Saturday 5/13: 12pm - 4pm
- Sunday 5/14: 11am - 5pm
Some things to know:
- Free community event!
- Good for adults and kids 6 and up with an adult helper
- We will be using water-soluble ink and have aprons available but be prepared for things to get a little messy!
- PS: Mother's Day is Sunday, May 14th!
