Sink Studio is featuring local artist Marc Myers.
Marc Myers lives In Lincoln and balances his creative output between visual arts and music. He has self-published comix, both drawn and collaged, for the last 30+ years.
The art of collage for me is taking elements and creating something out of them. I don’t have a picture in my head and then look for the elements to make that happen. The elements come together with my assistance.
These experiments with xerox transfer are a step toward moving from the reproduced image in a specific print run to just a single image.
The 2 framed pieces in this exhibit were done almost 6 months before the Pandemic, yet I feel they contain elements of fear and “something in the air”.
