Celebrate Pride Month and help us kick off Lincoln’s Star City Pride Festival with live music; LBGTQIA+ history and activism through presentations and great conversation.
History Presenters:
Barbara DiBernard on former UNL professor Louis Crompton, a gay civil rights activists who introduced one of the nation’s first gay studies classes at UNL.
Eli Rigatuso on the status of Two Spirit in traditional Native American culture and what was almost lost due to forced assimilation and colonization.
Music and interpretive composition by Lincoln based musician Jonathan Leach.
Moderated by Tami Lewis-Ahrendt.
