Homeschool families are invited to the Nebraska History Museum for another installment of our fun new learning series. At Homeschool Wednesdays, students of all ages learn what historic objects and photos can tell us about the past. The activities are geared towards 7 to 10 year olds, but older students are welcome to participate.

This month, we will be focusing on answering the question: How do people stay warm in Nebraska winters?

Students who join us will be able to make a gift for someone special that will help them in the winter. Students will also be able to search the museum for objects to answer the month's question of how people stayed warm in Nebraska winters.

Other activities include:

10:30 - winter stories of the Omaha and Ponca with Mike Wolfe Sr., a member of the Omaha Tribe and descendant of the Omaha and Ponca tribes

11:00 - Pop-up reading by Sharon Syre of the Lincoln City Libraries

11:30 - winter games of the Omaha and Ponca with Mike Wolfe Sr.
