We are once again celebrating our talented female artisan partners and women's achievements around the world! Join us for a variety of interesting activities and demos (and snacks!) throughout the weekend.
Friday, March 7 (6:00-7:30pm): Learn the basics of henna art and history from henna guru Samantha from @HennaGesserit. Try your hand at creating designs with a henna cone on paper (or yourself!)
Saturday, March 8 (10:00-12:00am): Learn about the intricate steps needed to turn natural fibers into yarns, then into looms, and finally into woven pieces of art from the Lincoln Handweaver's Guild! (They might even let you try your hand at the spinning wheel!)
We are also excited to be partnering once again with Fresh Start Home, a transitional shelter for women experiencing homelessness in Lincoln. Their services recognize and build on the women's unique strengths to assist them in overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency. Throughout the weekend, donate to Fresh Start and save on your ethically produced purchase from Ten Thousand Villages.
