About the Poets:
Cat Dixon is the author of Eva and Too Heavy to Carry. Additionally, she is the author of the chapbooks The Book of Levinson, Our End Has Brought the Spring, and Table for Two. Her newest poetry collection, What Happens in Nebraska, was released by Stephen F. Austin Press in November 2022. Cat is a poetry editor with The Good Life Review.

Heidi Hermanson, a recipient of both the Nebraska Book Award and the Arts Council Fellowship, is a first-generation Nebraskan. Her books are Waking to the Dream and Cocktails with God. She received her MFA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2008. Upon finding herself with an abundance of time due to COVID-19, she has been documenting and photographing nearby rivers and cemeteries, has organized the first Poets’ Chautauqua at the State Fair, aspires to found a library of towns that no longer exist, and learn dialects of the 17-year cicada.

Charlene Neely has poetry that has appeared in Naugatuck River Review, Persimmon Tree, Plainsongs, and other journals and anthologies. Her two poetry books are The Lights of Lincoln, and The Corn Fairy’s Wigs & Other Poems. She co-edited The Guide to More Nebraska Authors with Gerry Cox and is a member of the Nebraska Writers Guild and Lincoln Chapparal Poets. She enjoys sharing her love of poetry and words in schools and has at various times been a cook, waitress, chauffeur, reporter, imager, elevator operator, paste-up artist, Avon lady, and small press operator. She is a daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. All of these experiences feed into her poetry in various ways. Charlene has upcoming poetry that will appear in the Evening Street Review #37 and American Graveyard.
