Date and Time for this Past Event

Details

How long have farmers lived on the plains? How much food could farmers on the plains produce in the 15th century? What does agricultural production tell us about other aspects of Native life?

Dr. Adam Wieel is an archeologist who specializes in remote sensing applications and works for the Midwest Archeological Center, an office of the National Park Service. He will speak about what geophysics and traditional "dirt" archeology can tell us about agricultural production in a fifteenth-century village on the Missouri River.
