Spend an Afternoon in Wax Buffalo's Instagram-Worthy Candle Lab

Whether you're out with the girls, looking for a fun date idea, or showing a friend around Downtown Lincoln, The Candle Lab is the perfect opportunity to catch up while learning a new and creative art form. You'll be taking home a beautiful, hand-crafted candle, too! 

Step 1:

Show up! Wax Buffalo is open weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Candle Lab will usually be open for walk-ins. If you're interested in booking the whole space for a large group, make sure to call and arrange a time at least a week in advance. 

Step 2: 

Pick a vessel (there are TONS to choose from, so take your time), pick your favorite scent, and check out to get your willow wick and start pouring in the lab. The candle pouring experience is $35 per person. 

Step 3: 

Easy-to-follow instructions in the lab walk you through the relaxing process of heating your wax, adding your scent, and pouring the candle. It will take around half an hour to an hour. Don't worry, if you have questions, Wax Buffalo's friendly staff is always there to help! Plus, the Candle Lab smells amazing.  

Step 4: 

Leave your name at your station and the Wax Buffalo staff will package everything up beautifully for you after it cools. Come back in 2 hours, but until then you're free to shop around the Haymarket, grab dinner, or grab drinks! Wax Buffalo will be partnering with Downtown Businesses to provide Candle Lab participants with special deals and discounts to use while you wait. 

Step 5: 

Stop back in to the shop and pick up your brand new candle that's uniquely you! Admire your work and take in that scent all the way home.
