In celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday in 2020, LSO triumphantly concludes its journey to perform all nine of his symphonies with the monumental Symphony No. 9 (Choral). Joining LSO onstage are the full forces of a choir comprising the Abendmusik Chorus, Doane University Choir, Doane Collegiate Chorale, and Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir. Paired with the Ninth Symphony will be the premiere of Jake Runestad’s newly-orchestrated work, A Silence Haunts Me, a poignant choral piece with text based on Beethoven’s Heiligenstadt Testament.
