Boiler Kissa #1: Tuesday, February 24th: GASTR del SOL
Fashioned after Japanese Jazz Kissas, Boiler’s “Kissa” is a time to bring recorded music to the forefront of the social sphere, enjoying it the same way film is in a theater: socially, yet politely quiet. Each week, two albums will be played in the tap room on an audio system set-up and specific for Kissa. Selections will focus on well-pressed vinyl of artistically relevant music. Like traditional Japanese Jazz Kissa’s, selections will often times, but not always be limited to jazz. Pertinent information for each record played will be available, as well as information regarding the hi-fi in use. There will be a 5-10 minute break at the end of each record side. Kissa is about experiencing recorded music and craft beer in a communal environment.
