Join us at the Nebraska History Museum for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with free admission from 9 AM to 4 PM! Our partner organizations, the LUX Center for the Arts, Lincoln City Libraries, and the Nebraska Commission on Latino Americans, El Centro de las Américas, and the City of Lincoln Commission on Human Rights will be posted throughout the museum, ready to make special arts and crafts, play a round of Nebraska-themed Loteria, and join the library for storytime at 10 AM and 11 AM.

Plus, guests are invited to honor their loved ones by adding to the community ofrenda and can vote for their favorite NSHS ofrenda. Our staff have created ofrendas that honor notable Nebraskans that will be on display. The winning ofrenda will be announced on our social media channels at @nehistorical and the Nebraska History Museum.

The free admission for this event is funded by support from the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation. So don’t forget to stop by the thank you card table and write a note for the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation!

In addition, our friends at the International Quilt Museum will have activities for the whole family, including fun kid crafts, presentations and performances, snacks, a photo booth, and more from 1 PM to 4 PM!
