Nonpoint is an American rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The band was formed in 1997 by lead vocalist Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera, who have been the only constant members of the group. Nonpoint has released nine studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, and nineteen singles. Their most popular songs are “In the Air Tonight”, “Bullet With a Name”, and “Alive and Kicking”.
Nonpoint was formed in 1997 by lead vocalist Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera. They were soon joined by bassist Ken MacMillan and guitarist Andrew Goldman. In 1998 they released their debut album Separate Yourself which included the hit single “Bullet With a Name”. The album achieved moderate success, reaching number 21 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
In 2000 Nonpoint released their second album Statement which featured the hit single “In the Air Tonight”. The song was featured in films such as The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and was also used in video games such as Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. The album reached number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 500,000 records worldwide.
In recent years Nonpoint has released several more albums including Miracle (2004), To the Pain (2008), Vengeance (2011), The Return (2014), and X (2018). They have also collaborated with other artists such as Disturbed, Lil Wayne, Sevendust, and Korn. Nonpoint continues to tour around the world, selling out shows in the US and Europe. They remain one of the most successful rock bands to come out of South Florida.
