Join the Rangbrook Ensemble with Lucy Collins, violin, and Anne Madison, piano for an evening of music by the Mendelssohn family. Two contrasting works written in the same year by a sister and brother.

-Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel's piano trio, composed in 1847 as a birthday present for another Mendelssohn sister.

-Felix Mendelssohn's final major work, a string quartet also written in 1847 in response to Fanny's sudden death that same year.
