We had the pleasure of meeting Tonina this year at True/False Film Fest in February. After a few days of music/film and performances both she and I and our respective bands played our final showcase at Rose Music Hall. We were blown away by her illuminating strength on stage and her unforgettable voice. Being two black women in music representing the midwest - I found it important to stay connected. (All that, and we play great shows together! Our sets flow nicely from one to the next).

Since then we've played two shows in our region: Cafe Berlin (Columbia, MO) + Grinnell College

Now we have the opportunity to share the stage again here in our hometown and where we currently reside - Omaha. (I'm sure this will be the first two of many).
