About the Author:
John Stevens Berry established himself as a poet during his undergraduate years at Stanford. As a young poet, he was widely published, and twice received awards from the Academy of American Poets. Berry’s life since then has involved serving in Vietnam as a soldier, and a distinguished career as a trial lawyer. He has had three previous books published: Darkness of Snow, (poetry); a prose memoir, Those Gallant Men, which was chosen Book of the Month by the Military Book Club; and The Twelfth Victim, which is now in its second printing, having been produced as a four-part docuseries for television. Berry lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, with his artist wife, Margaret Berry. They have 9 grandchildren.
