During the month of June, our worship readings will come from the Book of Revelation. When I enrolled in the Bible Study, it was to address the fears swirling in 1999. I had not read all of the book because I don’t like scary movies, and it was a first century horror film, or so I thought. The first thing the professor said was “Revelation is a book of hope.” During our uncertain days, pandemic news and fears of economic collapse, we can listen for ancient words of scripture that transform fear into hope.
